Friday 7 August

Due to a technical issue with MV Lochnevis generator, the 08:00 departing Mallaig is currently delayed.

There will be review for service at 09:15.

Planned maintenance

Due to planned vessel maintenance, amended timetable operate on the following dates:

Thursday 10 September

Thursday 8 October

During planned maintenance days the vessel will operate at reduced capacity. Customers are advised to book in advance where possible.

Saturday 15 and 22 August

Due to disruption elsewhere in the Network, MV Loch Bhrusda has been redeployed to operate Sound of Harris.

Passenger charter MV Larven and vehicle charter MV Spanish John will operate an amended timetable alongside MV Loch Nevis.

Due to an adverse weather forecast, services operated by MV Larven (passenger charter) are liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice.

MV Lochnevis will depart for annual overhaul from approximately Wednesday 26 August - Tuesday 22 September.

During this time MV Loch Bhrusda will operate a service for vehicles, passengers and freight.

Ticket Information

Day return tickets are not always possible on this service – due to the nature of this timetable, and check in requirements it is not always possible to travel to your specified island on a day return. Please check the timetable for details. Non-landing cruise ticket for Small Isles are not available on this route. View more information on travelling to the Small Isles.

Vehicle Permit

If you are taking a vehicle, you must have a permit to travel. Travel should be arranged with the Mallaig port office.

Turn Up and Go and Bookable route online purchases. If you have purchased tickets online as a group or for any number of travel companions, for use on any of our Turn Up and Go or Bookable routes, the full party must travel on the same sailing. This applies to both legs of your journey. If you are unsure if all members of your group are travelling together, please complete separate transactions online.

Connecting Services  For customers using connecting services please note these services do not always guarantee a connection, particularly during times of disruption. We advise that you check both CalMac and connecting service websites prior to travel to ensure you can reach your end destination safely.
