Planned maintenance

Due to planned vessel maintenance, there may be reduced vehicle capacity on the following dates:

Monday 7 September

Tuesday 8 September

Monday 21 September

Tuesday 22 September

Please factor this into your travel plans in case your preferred sailing may not be available.

Vehicle weight limit

Proof of vehicle weight and relevant documentation will be required at both Largs and Cumbrae port before travelling as per company policy.

CalMac Status app

Our CalMac status app is available to download from your usual Google and Apple app stores. Once downloaded, you can sign up to receive push notifications on your favourite routes. You can also view the timetable files for the route and date you have selected. Please note, the results returned will not be a ‘live’ picture of services at that time – instead, they are an enhanced, easy to read excerpt of the timetable. Please continue to check service status for the most up to date information.

Buy before you board Are you travelling to/from Largs - Cumbrae Slip (Millport)? Buy your ticket online, ready to be scanned before boarding

Turn Up and Go and Bookable route online purchases. If you have purchased tickets online as a group or for any number of travel companions, for use on any of our Turn Up and Go or Bookable routes, the full party must travel on the same sailing. This applies to both legs of your journey. If you are unsure if all members of your group are travelling together, please complete separate transactions online.

Subscriber texts

To subscribe to live updates for a particular route text the words CALMAC and SUBSCRIBE along with the route code of your choice to 60030 e.g. "CALMAC SUBSCRIBE 07". This will automatically subscribe you to ongoing service information relating to that route for a six month period.
